Responsibilities
Molokai General Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Clinical/Managerial Assistant to work in the Paul G. Stevens Outpatient Clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing managerial clerical and clinical duties in the Outpatient Clinic, assisting with the daily clinic flow, clinical intake and procedures, maintaining examination rooms, and operating office and clinical equipment.
Molokai General Hospital is a 15-bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital designation. It provides the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai. MGH became a part of The Queen’s Health Systems in 1987 and provides acute care, inpatient hospice, skilled nursing, and low-risk obstetrical services. It also offers primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veteran’s services and chronic disease navigation services.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical/Managerial Assistant (CMA) performs managerial clerical and clinical duties in the Outpatient Clinic. CMA’s assist with the daily clinic flow, assist with clinical intake and procedures, maintain examination rooms, and operate office and clinical equipment.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, finger dexterity, lifting, pushing/pulling and carrying items.
Continuous: Seeing, hearing, standing, walking, stooping/bending, twisting body, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, and frequent gripping of objects. Operates computer, printer, copier, telephone, fax, and clinical equipment.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Both inside and outside environmental conditions; noise and/or vibration; hazardous physical conditions; and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or skin.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- BLS/HCP level certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to type 40wpm.
- One year physician clinic or office experience preferred.
- Two (2) years direct patient care experience preferred.
- Ability to keep clear and concise records.
- Experience in data collection and input.
- Ability to meet and communicate effectively with people, including establishing and sustaining positive relationships.
