Vitalant is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technician to support to our Stem Cell / Cord Blood Cell Therapy Lab

Every day your work will help save and improve lives in your community through the blood and transfusion medicine services Vitalant provides. You will be working with speciality treatment hospitals in testing, reporting and preparing blood and infusion products to treat patients needing bone marrow or stem cell transplant products.

What to Expect

Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

• Flexibility needed to work a little earlier some days as patient care plan requires.

Work Location: Tempe, AZ and occasional travel to hospitals for delivery of treatment as needed.

Shift Differential: 8%

To thrive in this role, you must be able to:

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
• Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
• Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
• Be patient and detailed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
• Medical Laboratory Science Certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Valid Drivers License
