In the Clinical Analyst role, you will provide clinical support for External Quality Review activities, including validation of Performance Improvement Projects, compliance reviews, and focused studies and must have the ability to work independently with little supervision. This individual will also communicate with State government and Managed Care Organization (MCO) quality and clinical staff. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of medical record and case file review data collection tools and instructions and conduct medical record and case file abstraction for focused clinical studies and special projects such as care management audits.
  • Participate in refinement of data collection instruments and instructions via alpha testing, beta testing and other efforts.
  • Participate in training and Internal Quality Control (IQC) for medical record reviews.
  • Participate in validation of MCO Performance Improvement Projects.
  • Participate in MCO onsite compliance reviews, with anticipated travel approximately 2 to 3 one-week trips annually.
  • Assist in preparation of summary reports of review activities.
  • Work collaboratively with analytical and support staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of contract deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to relate effectively with medical, technical, analytic and administrative personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PC-based computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Must have ability to work flexible days and hours when necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed RN and a graduate of an approved registered professional nurses training program, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Nursing, Health Policy, etc), preferred.
  • Two (2) years of related clinical work experience, required.

The salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $75,000.00 – $90,000.00. Actual salary depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location and budget.

The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
