Pay Range: $63,440.00 (Based rate $58,240 + $5,200 Locale Diff = $63.440.00) - $66,934.40 per year (exempt/salaried) and considers preferred experience and preferred education described below.

This position also includes an additional locale differential of $5,200.00 annualized.

Description of Responsibilities: The purpose of the Clinic Manager is to provide oversight of a designated clinic(s) throughout the Axis Health System network, providing leadership for the clinic(s) and management of assigned personnel in alignment with AHS goals. This position will be called upon to provide meaningful contribution for policy, programming, operations, billing, facilities, and system issues. This includes responsibility for customer service standards and achievement of target outcomes and scheduling standards, quality staff development, budget deliverables and community representation, as appropriate. This position requires a system approach, a comprehensive understanding of the integrated model of healthcare, and a passion for ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, while managing operational oversight of CMHC/CHC operations. Close collaboration and partnering with staff of multiple disciplines is required and essential to successfully meet the goals of the clinics. The specific functions of the position are expected to change as the needs of the AHS clinics evolve.


Supervisory responsibilities: Yes


Physical demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. AHS may make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Experience:

  • Required Education and Experience
    • Minimum Education:
      • High School Degree or equivalent
    • Minimum Experience:
      • 3 years customer service in a healthcare setting.
  • Preferred Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related social services or healthcare field.
    • 5 years customer service in a healthcare setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory position

  • Must be knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance.
  • Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to follow guidelines.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be self-directed.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to follow the organization’s confidentiality and security rules.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance.

  • Interpret and apply pertinent laws and regulations governing the practice and financing of healthcare.

  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities and deliver clear and comprehensive reports.
  • Demonstrate skills in creating a cohesive teamwork environment and a culture of accountability, customer service and fiscal responsibility in day-to-day operations.
  • Competencies in obtaining and recording patient vital signs and machine readings according to facility policies for patient rooming.
  • Ability to take on additional duties when necessary and/or as requested.
  • Ability to travel as required.
