CLERK DEPARTMENTAL - PULP & P/R Job at Packaging Corporation of America
We are seeking applicants for a Clerk Departmental (Pulp, Power/Recovery) (1 Opening) at our paper mill located in Wallula, WA.
Description of role:
Assist the Pulp Power/Recovery Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Pulp Power/Recovery department.
Performs general office clerical functions as needed.
Principle Accountabilities:
Perform support function for one or more staff in the Pulp Power/Recovery Dept.
Completes work schedules for hourly employee crews on a weekly basis. Contacts employees to cover schedule vacancies.
Completes, organizes and coordinates data, information, and activities for the functional area and/or cross functional areas.
Learn, follow and utilize procedures, products, policies, and software appropriate to one or more functional areas.
Routine daily tasks include data entry, organizing work, creating materials for internal and external customers, providing safety training, answering mail and phone inquiries, and making calls to arrange services from vendors.
Maintain an organized filing system, including digital filing such as SharePoint.
Ordering offices supplies as needed.
Must be willing to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma.
1 year experience in office environment supporting manufacturing operations.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Capable and willingness to work in a team environment with a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing among co-workers.
Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
The ability to perform data entry tasks for extended periods.
Solid written and verbal communication skills capable of communicating with multiple audiences and purposes.
Strong analytical abilities.
High level of organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding manufacturing.
