THIS POSITION IS A MAXIMUM OF 25 HOURS PER WEEK.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the Direct Supervision of the Office Coordinator, this position provides general office support to the Franklin Township Youth Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide customer service support in-person, online and via phone.
Assist with processing program registrations.
General filing, sorting, photocopying, faxing and other office duties.
Assist with answering questions from community members in person, on the phone or through email.
Provide superior customer service at all times.
Assist with opening and closing of facilities.
Assist with program space and equipment set up and breakdown as necessary.
Print and distribute program rosters.
Assist with department marketing needs as directed.
Assist with department mailings.
Assist with processing of facility permits.
Record office supply inventory and assist with ordering of supplies.
Secure all moneys in designated area daily.
Assist with processing refunds, credits and fee waivers.
Check and respond to general department email inquires daily.
Politely enforce the rules of the facility.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in Microsoft Office – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook, required.
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
Ability to accurately perform cashier duties.
Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with local officials, department heads, employees and the general public.
Must possess proven organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with others and possess an excellent telephone demeanor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping.
Prior experience working in customer service or professional office setting preferred.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Telephone, personal computer, copy machine, postage machine, fax machine, calculator.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work associated with this position is primarily performed in a typical office environment within the Youth Center.
The employee is occasionally required to work in outdoor settings.
The noise level within the Center can be extremely loud at times.
The noise level in outdoor settings is moderately noisy to noisy.
Evenings and weekends required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
