Classified Linux System Administrator
Amentum is currently seeking a Classified Linux System Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.
You will be a part of a team that performs task based and project based work by receiving tasks from a variety of sources to include Email, IM, phone, ticketing systems and in person.
As a member of the team, you will:

Self-identify projects and receive them from the customers.

Perform server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Work directly with RedHat Satellite.
-
Partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.

Work directly with vendors to solve complex hardware and software issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Must have a Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and 5 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience.

Must possess a SECRET or DOE L clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.

Linux Server System Administration and UNIX experience at least 2 years
RHEL system administration experience. -
Familiarity with computer network protocols and network management technologies.

Skill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior working experience with Department of Energy or Department of Defense infrastructure.
-
RHEL Satellite administration experience.
-
STIGS implementation experience.
-
Automation platforms such as Ansible, VMware, Python at least 1-3 years.

Experience leading and implementing large technical solutions.
-
RHCE/CCNA.
-
Experience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processes.
-
Experience with container technology, such as Kubernetes, RKE, Docker, etc.
-
Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experience.
-
ESXI experience.
