Class A Driver Job at New Ulm Steel
Scrap metal recycler in New Ulm, MN is seeking a full time Class A CDL truck driver. Must be reliable, have a valid Class A CDL MN driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Candidate must work well with a team and have a positive disposition as they will interact with other employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- Consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries and pick-ups.
- Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
- Ensure equipment is safe and up to DOT standards before leaving each day by performing daily inspections.
- Safely and efficiently unload loads and ensure the material getting loaded is safe.
- Obtain paperwork from customers and ensure it reaches the appropriate destinations.
- Map various routes.
- Arrive by time set by dispatcher.
- Maintain electronic logs.
- Track and report working hours.
- Comply with DOT standards.
- Always make safety a priority.
- Experience driving end dumps.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
