POSITION SUMMARY
At HealthSmart, the Claims Examiner will process claims for employee benefit plans.

Required Skills
- 2 years' experience working with healthcare and medical claims
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Process claims in full accordance with the current and relevant provisions of applicable plan documents
- Meet or exceed minimum production averages and accuracy minimums for payment, procedure, and financial goals
- Prepare correspondence in a clear and concise manner and retain a copy for our files
- Monitor and follow up on pending claim activity in timely and accurate manner
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear
- The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- The work is performed primarily in a remote setting
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate
