The duties of this position will include the recording of handling of all city finances along with record keeping of all cities policies, minutes, ordinances and resolutions. Direct the administration as provided by council action, state and federal statutes. Prepare reports and summaries of the city's finances along with year-end financial statements, the city's annual budget, payroll, and for all municipal projects and improvements. Submit all reports to the federal and state departments as required and keep up with all changes. Attend all council meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as directed by the city council. Consult and work with the city attorney, city auditor, city engineer, appointed officials, and other public or private agencies as required. Review all purchases and/or acquisitions made by city personnel. Requirement would include some type of accounting and financial experience.
