Hours of operation:

Center hours vary between 6:30 am to 6:00 pm based on school district needs.

Locations:

Dayton, Eaton, Englewood, Fairborn, Germantown, Huber Heights, Kettering, Miamisburg, New Bremen, New Lebanon, Springboro, West Carrollton, Wilmington, and Xenia.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities. The Childcare Teacher is responsible for ensuring the children's social, physical, spiritual, and mental development in the program, as well as keeping safety and the well-being of the children as a first priority.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college.

Must be able to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent as determined by the YMCA Childcare Branch.

CPR/AED, first Aid, and Oxygen required within first 60 days of employment and kept current.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience of working with children, demonstrating the ability to motivate and supervise staff. Planning and program development skills are helpful.

Computer skills needed, particularly with Microsoft Office and email applications.
