Child Development Specialist- Full-Time/Part-Time
Compensation: $20-30/hr
Location: Paso Robles/Templeton/Atascadero
Grow With Me – Creciendo Juntos is looking for Child Development Specialists to join our agency. We are in the California’s Central Coast, providing quality early intervention services to children in our community. Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Child Development Specialist will provide in-home early intervention services to infants and toddlers, ages 0-3 with developmental delays. The Child Development Specialist will utilize developmentally appropriate play activities to foster child’s development. All in-home early interventions are play-based and must occur in each child's most natural environment, although some remote services are approved on a case-by-case basis. The Child Development Specialist must be able to work closely with families and children as part of a collaborative team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Engage in age-appropriate educational activities with young children (ages 0-3), which takes the form of play.
- Provide and implement early intervention program at client’s home/community/school.
- Collect, record, and summarize sessions via electronic application/portal/software.
- Support parent/caregivers to understand the interventions presented to their infant/toddler during each session.
- Coach parent/caregivers through engaging in social-emotional development activities with their infants/toddlers in daily routines.
- Comply with program’s policies and procedures including HIPAA, Privacy, and Confidentiality laws and regulations.
- Participate in IFSP process and meetings
Schedule:
- Flexible schedules availability: morning shifts, afternoon shifts or full -day shifts
- Monday to Friday, Saturday’s as needed
- You will have the ability to make your own weekly schedule with the families in your caseload.
What we are looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Child Development, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- One (1) year related experience working with children 0-3 years old.
Preferred:
- Bilingual Spanish
Other Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to cover a 30-mile coverage area from the assigned home office location. This position will require a valid California ID or Driver’s License. Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to background check, physical etc. If required to drive, candidate must possess proof of valid insurance and registration.
