Chief Financial Officer (Scottsdale, AZ) Job at Tech HR, LLC
Tech HR is partnering with a confidential company who is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for their Phoenix/Scottsdale Arizona office. Must be located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and in the future. A hybrid schedule in the future may be possible.
Chief Financial Officer's Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
- Manage company finances and guide how the company manages growth, revenue, and expenses and to achieve its goals.
- Participate as a member of the senior team in the development of the organization’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies.
- Oversee day-to-day financial reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO/President, the Board, and other staff in performing their responsibilities.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and organization’s effectiveness.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Advise from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Company may enter.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, coordinate audits and timely filing of tax returns.
- Responsible for the state and federal tax relationships, reporting, filings, and deadlines.
- Supervise accounting personnel (bookkeeper, controller etc.)
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Develop, lead, and maintain relationships with insurance providers, banks, and other vendors and stakeholders.
To be successful as the Chief Financial Officer
- Ability to work onsite near our Scottsdale office. (Hybrid is possible in the future but not at the start).
- Senior-level management experience is desirable.
- Progressive financial/accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems; strong analytical skills; experience in budget processes, financial planning & analysis, and organizational development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Controller or VP of Finance level experience.
- Experience with dispersed workforce and multi-state taxes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency with and knowledge of all pertinent accounting rules and regulations, including GAAP.
- Proven experience in improving internal processes and procedures.
- Successful track record of leading and managing teams.
- Accounting software proficiency (beyond QuickBooks); proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial capabilities.
- Ability to work in very fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical, attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to provide strategic solutions at the highest level of the organization.
- Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment,and strong operational focus.
- Well-organized and self-directed; a team-player.
- Intelligent and articulate in relating to people at all levels of an organization with excellent communication skills.
- Trustworthy with willingness to share information and to serve as a mentor.
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contracts.
- Decisive with a "big picture" perspective as well as versed in systems.

Pay: Up to $110,000.00 per year
