Chief Financial Officer Job at Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc.
C&T Enterprises, Inc., is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Financial Office at its Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative headquarters located in Wysox, PA. Claverack delivers electricity to approximately 16,000 consumer-members in northeastern Pennsylvania.
This leadership position reports directly to the CEO and establishes the strategic financial plans for the cooperative and its subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will organize, direct and coordinate all functions of the Financial Services Department, including the financial aspects of the broadband subsidiary; advise the CEO on the financial matters of the cooperative; perform financial functions of the cooperative, including budgets, cash management and accounting; administer the cooperative's capital credit allocation and retirement process; and provide administrative support and direction in related areas, such as fraud prevention/detection, collections, integration of new hardware and software and document retention.
Candidate should be proficient in areas of expense analysis, accounts payable, payroll, property records and long-term debt acquisition and must be accurate in detailed analysis and computational tasks. The CFO must be able to work effectively with auditors, bankers and regulatory agencies and have human relation skills associated with a managment position. This position is an integral part of the senior managment team, with shared responsibilities for the implementation of the cooperative's policies and procedures.
Requirements include practical working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, accepted auditing standards, principles of cost-of-service studies, financial forecasting techniques, industry financial ratios, current tax law and practices relating to rural electric cooperatives, property and liability insurance, overview of computer system functions and technological changes affecting the office environment.
Responsibilities include developing, managing and evaluating the department's annual work plan; performing all human resource functions for direct reports; managing cooperative and subsidiary billing processes; preparing budgets; managing loan portfolio; and preparing monthly financial reports for the board of directors.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a business related field with ten years of directly relevant, progressively responsibile experience, including supervisory or managment positions. CPA or MBA desirable.
