Pay : Starting $95,000(+) annually based on level of experience, paid on a bi-weekly basis

Location: Irving, Texas.
Shift available : This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week during normal business hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday. Some nights and weekends will be required. Work schedule subject to change based on organization’s needs.
Brighter Tomorrows is a non-profit health and human services agency located in Dallas County, serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We offer comprehensive and responsive solutions to our community affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through our 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling services, and advocacy. Our service delivery framework is built on trauma-informed best practices that promote safety and self- determination and are offered by highly trained staff at no-cost to our participants.
We are seeking an experienced Chief Development Officer . This position will work closely with the CEO in all development and fund-raising endeavors. The right candidate should be someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about the mission of Brighter Tomorrows. This person should also be attentive, persistent, flexible, and donor driven. A person with high standards of integrity and self-confidence. Most importantly someone who loves their work and shows it by their willingness to get the job done with joy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in professional fund raising and experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising.
- Must have excellent attention to detail, ability to stay on top of deadlines, as well as good written and verbal communications skills. Must be highly organized, motivated, and able to work independently.
- Must be detailed oriented and consistently dependable.
- Must have proficiency working in an office environment.
- Must have working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a criminal and DMV background check (clear driving record)
- Must pass drug screening
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance as required by the State of Texas
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.
- Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors.
- Along with the CEO, direct the development of goals and strategies for all fundraising campaigns including the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
- Along with the CEO, direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives.
- Coordinate fund raising special events.
- Oversee prospect research.
- Make public appearances and accept speaking engagements to share information about Brighter Tomorrows with the community.
- Oversee fundraising database and client services tracking systems.
- Supervise staff in the following departments Community Outreach (education, volunteers, donations), Director of Marketing and Social Media, thrift stores.
- Oversee creation of publications to support fund raising activities.
- Maintain gift and donation recognition programs.
- Create and oversee all Social Media outlets
