Eagle River Animal Hospital (www.eaglerivervet.com), located in beautiful northern Wisconsin, is privately owned and looking to expand our medical team. You would be joining our team of 2 doctors, 3 CVTs, 5 assistants, 3 customer service representatives, 1 dog trainer, and a kennel assistant (cleaner). The team is Fear Free certified and have weekly staff meetings where we share information and celebrate the good things we do and discuss issues that need to be addressed. We all do our best when we work together and have open communication.

We have most of the bells and whistles now (digital Radiographs, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house labs, Companion Therapy laser, ect.) and we will have more when we move into our new building in 2023. We may be in a rural area, but we provide a high standard of medicine with prices that people can afford (so they actually do diagnostics!) and still pay the bills.

Compensation is based on experience (Starting at $15 an hour). Full time position is based on a 4-day work week (8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch) and every third Saturday (9am-1pm) so there is time to enjoy all this area has to offer. Additional Compensation includes (but is not limited to):

• Sign on bonus of $500

We will utilize your skills including:

• IV catheter placement

• phlebotomy

• safe animal restraint (cats and dogs, with some exotics if are interested)

• obtaining radiographs (orthopedic and soft tissue)

• anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery

• dental cleanings

• in-house labs: bloodwork, skin and ear cytology and parasitology screenings (although we send a lot out to IDEXX)

• therapy laser treatments

• compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

• inventory and equipment maintenance

• client education

• helping wherever needed
