Silverthorne Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full time Certified Veterinary Technician.

We are a busy, two doctor small animal practice. We are located in the beautiful mountain town of Silverthorne, Colorado, close to five ski resorts, many hiking and biking trails, and Lake Dillon. We have an amazing team that is supportive of each other. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional veterinary care, learning new skills, and compassionately engaging with our clients.

The position is full time, 4 days a week. We are open Mondays through Saturdays, with some on-call emergencies shifts throughout the month. Recent graduates will be considered, but must have a CVT license.

We are looking to fill this position with a team oriented, self-starting, compassionate candidate who is proficient in technical nursing skills as well as communication and computer skills.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) - accurately calculating drug dosages, placing IV catheters, venipuncture, taking radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, inventory management, collecting and running lab samples, upkeep on lab and other equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and taking dental radiographs, surgical prep, various receptionist tasks throughout the day, animal restraint for exams and treatments, client education, and daily hospital cleaning maintenance. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
