The Ski Instructor will ensure an exceptional guest experience with Ski School and Lesson Programs at the Peak. This position is accountable for teaching the guest fundamentals of snow sports at various lesson times while ensuring each guest is comfortable in their ability to handle beginner slopes and the quad lift by the end of the lesson.

*Our Ski Instructor associates can expect to make on average $12.50-$40/hr including gratuities and tips!

The rate of pay listed on this role is a combination of our base rate plus tips/gratuities. Like many roles in Hospitality across the country, actual hourly rate depends on business volume.

Essential Functions:

• Provide excellent customer service to our clients and their guests, third party and direct bookings
• Conduct ski and snow sport lessons as needed.
• Instruct basic snow sport principles including stops, turns, and lift operations
• Instruct secondary principles of snow sports and group fundamentals
• Responsible for total guest satisfaction of lessons including, but not limited to – ability to handle beginner slopes and the quad lift
• Ability to assess a guests’ current ski capabilities and formulate an effective program
• Responsible for operating the ski lift, facilitating tubing, helping with the rental shop, assist with building/maintaining ski park elements, bringing in firewood and facilitating Ice Skating
• Create an experience that is consistent with a 5-star Resort

Qualifications / Special Skills:

• PSIA/AASI certification required
• Previous ski instructor experience
• Ability to provide 5-star guest service consistent with a world-class resort
• Ability to formulate individual ski and snow sport lessons based on a guests’ current knowledge of basic ski functions
• Ability to build effective relationships to ensure quality working relationships with all departments
• General knowledge of the surrounding areas and attractions
• Must be able to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
• Must be able to deal with a high volume of incoming guest volume
• Assist with special projects as needed
