Certified Respiratory Therapist:

• Mayo Clinic Stores in Mankato, MN is hiring a Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team.
• This role will offer a great work/life balance in a non-clinical setting with no "on-call" shifts!
• This position will oversee the business line of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices to be sold in the Mayo Clinic Store.
• The incumbent will be responsible for training and fitting patients on CPAP, inventory management, collection/billing information and working closely with the Sleep Disorders Center at Mayo Clinic.
• In addition, the person will provide other medical supplies as needed. Complies with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Qualifications:

• The Respiratory Therapist job requires graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience in healthcare with an emphasis in medical business, medical billing, and insurance processing preferred.
• Familiar with Mayo Medical Center policies regarding medical and financial aspects of patient care to assure optimal reimbursement for both patient and Mayo. Must have strong human relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Requires good decision making and judgement capabilities.
• Must understand medical terminology, specific to each work area. Must be highly organized, efficient, multi-functional with the ability to work independently. Knowledge of word processing software.
• Must possess proficiency on technical office equipment including a computer, printer, telephone system, fax machine, copier, adding machine and/or any other job specific office technology.
• Retail knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, new product research, training of products to employees and patients.
• Physical and mental stamina to be able to withstand what can often be a fast-paced, stressful environment; on feet 90-100% of the time.
• Successful completion of the Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician credential is expected in the first year of employment and the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is required by the end of two years of employment.
• Therapists must maintain registry with the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice as Minnesota Registered Respiratory Care Practitioners.

License or certification

• Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: (Education Requirements and Experience):
• Must hold a minimum of and associates degree from an Accredited Respiratory Care Program and will hold the National Board for Respiratory Care entry level certification (CRT) prior to their first day of Mayo employment.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must maintain through employment.
• Must hold a Respiratory Practitioner License in good standing for the state the store resides in at hire and the license must remain active and in good standing throughout the RT employment at the Mayo Clinic Store.
• If applicable, must have a valid driver's license. Supplemental staff or non-oxygen sites not requiring call do not require valid driver's license.

Compensation Details:

• $29.34 - $39.61 per hour (non-exempt)
• Benefits begin day ONE (additional benefit overview listed below)
• Relocation compensation could be offered to candidates relocating from to accept this position.

Schedule Details:

• Must be available 7:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday; typical schedule is 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break
• Mayo Clinic Store hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm CST
• No weekends
