Growing local CPA firm is seeking an experienced Accountant – We offer a family-friendly work environment, flexible schedule, and great clients.

We are a small CPA firm in Billings, Montana practicing for over 50 years. We are looking for a CPA professional who is interested in long- term growth with a minimum of five years experience.

Job Requirements:

• Efficiency in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts in compliance with accounting policies for assigned clients.

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and bank reconciliations and assist with year end close processes.

• Proficient computer skills using QuickBooks, Excel, and tax software (preferably Lacerte).
• Licensed CPA with at least five years of experience preparing individual and entity tax returns a plus.
• Capable of managing existing client relationships and developing new ones.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Develop a strong working relationship with partners and become an active contributor to the overall client development and growth of the practice.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards.

Duties:

• Tax return preparation and review
• Tax planning
• Financial statement preparation
• Payroll compliance
• Proactive communication with clients to ensure compliance and accuracy of data

We offer a competitive compensation package and are dedicated to maintaining a healthy work/life balance. This includes only working 36 hour work weeks from May 1 through December 31. There is an opportunity to manage client relationships and be responsible for client project delivery.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 Based on 2200-2300 hours
