Certified Police Officer, Anderson, SC

Position hours: Full time.

Job Duties: Performs routine patrol duties, responds to emergency calls and/or public calls for assistance, issues traffic citations/summonses, maintains public order, transports prisoners and mental patients, etc. Investigates crimes; apprehends, arrests and interrogates suspects and violent persons; secures crime scenes; interviews witnesses, complainants, and victims;gathers physical evidence and preserves it for court; conducts follow-up investigations as needed.

Performs responsible duties related to crime prevention and community relations programs; attends neighborhood Crime Watch meetings to enhance police/community relationships; presents personal safety programs to residents and implements problem-solving techniques and strategies.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid SC driver’s license, satisfactory polygraph, and background investigation. Law Enforcement Class 1 certification.
