The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for administering occupational therapy modalities and procedures of treatment as directed and supervised by the Staff Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapy Assistant assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Occupational Therapy Assistant participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

- Perform internal and external public education functions, which may include periodic in service presentations and marketing services to the community and medical profession.
- Provides input in formulating budget and assists in maintaining department budget guidelines.
- Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
- Participates in infection control, department equipment training and organizational safety and fire safety programs.
- Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Occupational Therapist. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- 2-year Associate Degree
- Internship/Clinicals with course of study
- State of Kansas
- Current CPR within one month of hire date.
- Valid Driver’s License
