Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job at Hamden Health
Hamden Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, a 153 bed skilled nursing facility, located in Hamden, CT, is looking for full-time and part-time CNAs to join our team on all three shifts.
Certified Nursing Assistant performs routine and non-professional tasks as assigned by the charge nurse in order to meet the personal needs and comforts of the residents.
1. Observes residents and reports to Charge Nurse immediately if any unusual condition/accidents/ incidents occur.
2. Answers resident’s call light promptly and see that it is within easy reach of the resident.
3. Assists residents with bathing and other activities of daily living, includes shower or tub bath, shampoo, with attention given to grooming of hair, nails, teeth/dentures and daily shaves where applicable.
4. Assists residents with transfer activity from bed to chair, ambulation, range of motion and proper body alignment.
5. Assists with serving meal trays, setting up and feeding residents as necessary.
6. Cares for clean/soiled linen as directed.
7. Maintains clean and orderly resident rooms daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably a high school graduate who has the ability to read and write with comprehension, able to follow instructions, dependable, neat in appearance and compassionate.
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant consistent with the State of CT.
