Nonprofit organization seeks a part time Vaccinated, Music Therapist (Board Certified or Non-Yet-Certified Therapeutic Music Instructor) to work in person, with the elderly in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, challenged children, Wounded Warriors and at risk youth, in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. Must be fun-loving, have your own equipment, reliable transportation, a heart for those with challenges and loads of personality!

Generous fee paid on a per session basis. The $65 "per hour" is really "per session" and includes planning time and documentation. All staff are independently contracted (no mileage or benefits). We have a schedule in place and we are growing!

As a FAM Music Therapist/Therapeutic Music Instructor you will work with our clients at their facilities, do a little online documentation (short google form), and receive payment (direct deposit) at the end of the month for all of the sessions you've implemented. Sessions typically last one hour and are scheduled during weekday working hours and sometimes weekends. We do all of the marketing, scheduling and bookwork, leaving you the freedom to be creative with the best clients ever!

There is also an opportunity for the right Music Therapist to join our FAMbots initiative, learning to facilitate the FAM Multi Sensory Session. This is a four-pronged approach to recreating connections, for people with advanced dementia, using music, a social robot, a sensory covering and aroma therapy. Heartwarming, incredibly effective and super-easy to do--you'll love making visible change in the lives of those who really need us!
