The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Trails is actively recruiting for the Central

Region, Assistant Regional Manager position.

The work you will do is more than just a job – Our VISION is to create unforgettable park, trail, and water

The Assistant Regional Manager for Parks and Trails works with an amazing leadership team. The highly

engaging work entails communicating with a team on developing regional work plans, overseeing park and trail

operations including a high functioning safety program, fiscal management and developing, supporting, and

implementing programs and policies. This supervisory position takes many leadership roles and serves the

agency on various committees and workgroups supporting critical work.

Examples of work duties for the Assistant Regional Manager include the implementation of strategic and

operational components of natural and cultural resource management, interpretation, conservation education,

and facility management of 240 miles of already-developed state trails, 18 state parks and state recreation

areas, 307 public water accesses, state waysides, grant-in-aid trails, state forest trails, state forest recreation

areas, state water trails, state waysides and other division units in 23 counties within the region.

This is a full-time position based out of the St. Paul metropolitan area with options for approved telework.

Travel will be required occasionally for overnight meetings and site visits to Parks and Trails locations. The daily
