Overview:

Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company, is seaching for a Blue Rhino Line Haul Tank Exchange Driver responsible delivering Blue Rhino propane cylinders to Blue Rhino locations, wholesale distributors and retail customers in a safe, punctual, and efficient manner. Depending on the route, this position with be responsible for either drop and hook, live load/unload by hand or with a forklift.

Responsibilities:

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane cylinders to and from specified destinations and customers.
• Engages in daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires.
• Ensures the regional pickup and safe delivery of propane cylinders and/or other products as directed.
• Maintains preventive maintenance program for transport truck and trailer.
• Follows DOT requirements and company safe driver guidelines while performing duties.
• Performs daily inspections as required by DOT and Blue Rhino to ensure that assigned equipment is in safe and compliant operating condition.
• Ensures all required paperwork including certifications, logs, etc. are completed and in compliance with company and government regulations.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Loads/unloads trailers utilizing forklift.
• Based on location may be responsible for chaining up.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement or be willing to obtain endorsement quickly.
• Preferred two years tractor/trailer experience and/or combo 1yr experience after completion of truck driving school.
• Demonstrated communications, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to work safely and effectively with customers and Ferrellgas employees.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds (two full 20# cylinders) repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to work maximum hours allowed under DOT hours of service regulations.
• Possesses a drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.
• Forklift Experience preferred but not required.
• Flatbed experience preferred (based on location)
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
