Catering Specialist

Job Title: Catering Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time

Industry: Quick-Service Restaurant

Pay Range: $19.50/Hour

Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm. Occasional weekends dependent on catering volume.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Responsible for staging day of catering orders
• Handing off catering orders to drivers/guest and reviewing all items in the order before leaving the store.
• Assist in coordinating deliveries with CCC Catering Drivers or Doordash Drive
• Planning, reviewing, and coordinating next day catering orders with the lead supervisor and Catering Manager
• Consistent and timely communication with Catering Manager and lead supervisor
• Take catering orders and inquiries via phone or walk up
• Enter House Account, Support Center (880), ezCater and Office Express orders into the POS daily and promptly
• Creating Per Person Catering production sheets
• Print Meal Box labels and/or coordinate delivery of labels for Meal Boxes
• Prepare catering materials for future catering orders such as meal boxes, catering boxes, dressings, sauces, etc.
• Deliver catering orders if needed using personal vehicle and/or company
• Assist with Inventory control for catering supplies; communicate with Catering Manager
• Following up with catering guests daily
• Full Catering Menu and FAQ knowledge
• Assist with Drive Up Service
• Perform required administrative duties, fill out required operational checklists
• Communicate with upper management on various projects
• Make suggestions on how to improve the overall restaurant operation
• Travel to training events and/or other restaurant locations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 1+ year of previous work experience in a high-volume quick service restaurant
• Speak, read, and write English fluently
• Must be at least 18 years of age with valid CA Driver's license
• Must have good driving record
• Must have reliable vehicle with current registration and auto insurance
• Knowledgeable in Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Passionate about food and hospitality
• Professional guest service with catering clients
• Basic math skills and can work POS system
• Able to complete tasks on or before set deadline
• Able to work well with others, set an exemplary example of teamwork and respectful communication.
• Enjoy and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Food Handler course and test in compliance with CA state law requirements is required
• Fully documented to work in the U.S.
• Must have own cell phone for prompt communication

Physical Requirements

Perform duties that require standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, twisting, climbing, lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs. individually), and moving throughout the restaurant for 8-12 hours per shift, up to 6 shifts per week, occasional sitting, 1-4hrs/day.

Work Conditions/Hours

• Must have the stamina to work 40+ hours per week. Hours will vary in accordance with business necessity, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• May require traveling depending on catering delivery needs
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, steam, and smoke.
• Works with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment typical of a restaurant kitchen
• Work with phones, computers, and other office equipment.
