Executes global sourcing strategies and initiatives for assigned direct materials under the direction of Category Director. Ensures that the global strategies are executed at regional sites. Accountable for cost reductions and other initiatives assigned by the Category Lead or Director. Reports to Category Leader.

Implements global commodity and supplier strategies to achieve challenging year-over-year cost reduction results through supplier collaboration and competition. Works closely with all functions, particularly with product development, marketing, supply chain and other key internal customers. Provides assistance in connection with project plans, implementation strategies, and executes plans. Gathers market data and performs sophisticated analyses of market dynamics. Internal/External customer focus to address complex issues. Executes strategy to improve processes, procedures and project flow in Sourcing. Investigates and analyzes supplier’s financial condition, technical competence, facilities and production techniques to ensure adequate supplier capacity and capability. Develops contingency plans for assigned commodities and/or strategic suppliers. Implements ongoing negotiation strategies and managing against short- and long-term market forces which affects the department. Understands financial analyses, commodity and currency hedging, and other techniques to minimize financial risks.

• Knowledge and experience in world-class indirect sourcing practices and techniques • Knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting practices. • Analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required. • Project management and teaming skills. • Change implementation.

• BS in Business Administration plus a minimum of 3 to 5 years of sourcing experience required. • P.M. is a plus.

Salary Range is $85,000- $91,000
