- Extend a friendly greeting to all guests
- Take guest’s order accurately
- Accept payment from guests and make change correctly
- Present order to guest, properly packaged and with all necessary accompaniments and utensils
- Generate additional sales whenever possible by suggesting additional menu items
- Clean all guest areas (sweep and mop as needed)
- Present to management when any front-of- house equipment needs service or inventory is needed
- Explain menu and answer product questions as raised by guests
- Relay the order to kitchen staff
- Thank guests for their business
- Operate the cash register and being responsible for cash receipts
- Count the change back in the register at the beginning and end of shift
- Prep drinks and assist in kitchen prep of items such as sauces, coleslaw, croutons, etc.
- Remove trash from waste receptacles and place at back of restaurant
