Carpenter Helper

We are looking for a Carpenter Helper who will work directly under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson and assist on our projects using your variety of skills and team player mindset while conforming to local building codes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 6 months carpentry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Performing as a member of a job team
• Tracking assigned team tasks and reporting progress to leaders
• Highlighting any issues and properly communicating them to leaders
• Maintaining open and ongoing communication with all team members
• Representing the company with professionalism and high work ethics

Experience:

• Previous construction or building experience considered but not required
• Must be in a good physical condition and able to walk, crawl, bend, stand on ladders and scaffolding, lift and carry heavy materials/supplies and work in a variety of interior and exterior environments
• Must have basic tools such as a hammer, tape measurer, and carpentry belt
• Must be able to read a tape measure, call out measurements and apply measurements to the job site
• Ability to use all necessary tools as assigned and instructed;
• Ability to understand and obtain clarification when necessary to perform assigned tasks.

• Interest in growing and developing skills to promote within the company
• Strong people and interpersonal skills to assure the company and customer satisfaction is maintained throughout a project
• A responsible, self-motivated hard worker who will enact profitable use of the company time, manpower and materials on each project
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks that may include cleaning, maintenance, and other manual labor assignments at times
• Willingness to follow directions and respond to multiple change task assignments
• Possess a reliable vehicle and have a current driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of vehicle insurance (necessary for working at resorts)
• Good communication skills (timely, responsive, open, and honest
• Work ethic of dependability (on time, focused on work, works entire shift, works all days as assigned, and plans ahead for requested days off) and flexibility (open to all job assignments and changes in teams)
• Ability to pass a background check if requested.
