Organization Overview:

Beacon Hill Preparatory Institute is a non-profit organization that provides critical supplemental math and reading tutoring and enrichment to students in Local Public & charter schools throughout Fair Park, Oak Cliff, Wilmer Hutchins, Pleasant Grove and surrounding communities. Programs include in-school, after-school, and summer programming. We ensure students Catch Up, Keep Up and Stay Ahead by developing data-informed intervention plans and supporting teachers and parents throughout the school year. Our desired outcomes are to help each student achieve grade-level proficiency in math and reading, develop confident learners, and level the playing field for all participating students

Objective:

The Campus Manager will ensure the efficient operation of our high-quality tutoring program at the assigned school location for students in grades Prek-6th (grades may vary).


General Responsibilities:


  • Create a positive and engaging atmosphere in the Beacon Hill Learning Lab

  • Provide high quality & engaging small group 3-4:1 tutoring instruction

  • Manage Learning Lab Staff (instructors and volunteers)

  • Assess students and monitor group performance

  • Implement Gideon curriculum and Reading & Math Enrichments with fidelity

  • Maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and database entry

  • Supervise classroom management (Maximum 12 students in lab per rotation)

  • Adhere to internal and external policies

  • Display professional behavior and dress

  • Attend program training and lead staff meetings

  • Assist with volunteer and staff training

  • Contribute to organizational success

Education and Qualifications:

College degree or teacher certification

  • Experience with school-age children may substitute for degree/certification

  • Computer literacy and access to high-speed internet

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong communications, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Management/leadership background

  • Bilingual (Plus)

Reports to: Program Manager

Direct Reports: Instructional Teachers and Volunteers

Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours/week (7:00am-6:00pm Monday - Thursday; 8:00am-4:30pm Friday)

Hours: 40 hours per week


Pay Rate: Salaried - Full Time


The position is Full Time salaried at a rate commensurate with experience. If selected for the position there is an unpaid flexible volunteer orientation of 20 hours to be completed around your schedule.
