The surgical staff at Brown & Neuwirth Oral & Cosmetic Surgery Center are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of IV sedation, outpatient general anesthesia, and all surgical procedures. All staff members are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR certified. We also provide dental training seminars for dentist and dental assistants.
JOB SUMMARY: Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Call Center Representative will be cross-trained to check-in, check-out, verify and file insurance claims for patients, answer phones and additional administrative tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Answer phones with the goal of scheduling new and existing patient appointments
- Route calls to appropriate persons when indicated
- Gather patient and insurance information
- Update patient information in patient management software
- Cross-train and potentially rotate in other departments
- Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by leadership team members
- Meet specified scheduling goals and customer satisfaction
- Respond to high volume inbound calls while compassionately handling questions and/or concerns professionally
- Ability to demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette and superb listening and problem-solving skills at all times
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service, insurance and billing support
- Making outbound calls to insurance companies and patients to obtain information, perform eligibility verification, and schedule appointments for multiple locations
- Ability to handle all inquiries utilizing the designated systems and processes presented during the initial training period
- Experience in dental is preferred but not required
- Experience with phone customer service and/or experience handling a high volume of inbound calls preferred
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
- Professional approach to patient support
- Excellent typing, data entry accuracy
- Outgoing personality, ability to build rapport and develop relationships over the phone
- Ability and drive to meet company goals
- Bridging gap between patient and office with confidence in patient satisfaction
- Any other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE:
Full-Time
Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
TRAVEL: Only on an as-needed basis and will be determined ahead of time to travel to the other practice locations (i.e., Statesville and/or Morganton)
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
EXPERIENCE:
1+ continuous years of experience working in a medical/dental office environment providing excellent customer service.
