POSITION: Cage Cashier

REPORTS TO: Cage Shift Manager

POSITION STATUS: FULL TIME

PAY RATE: $16.75 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:

Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you and Goodbye.

Responsible for accurately selling and redeeming cash, chips, and slot tickets.

Processing and paying with credit card cash advances and check cashing for customers.

Accurately paying jackpots, issuing and receiving banks from various venues within the casino.

Accurately counting and recording employee tips being turned into the cage.

Preparing and counting chips for fills and credits for the Blackjack Tables.

Responsible and accountable for the assigned cash fund and completing bank accountability forms properly.

Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the utmost accuracy in the processing of paperwork and payments of cash.

Strong organizational skills along with a high level of concentration.

Ability to prioritize various job duties.

Proficiency with computers and the operation of a 10-key calculator.

Must process transactions accurately and maintain window variances to an absolute minimum.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.

Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must pass a math test.

All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 year of cashier experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
