Position Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional and personal requirements:

Education/Certification

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Post High School technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field.

Professional

  • Responsive and results oriented in service to clients.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of civil CAD experience on a variety of projects preferred
  • Mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in actual design of water, sewer, streets, grading and drainage projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures
  • Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings

Responsibilities/Expectations:

Responsibilities include:

  • Using established CAD standards and design criteria to independently design civil infrastructure and site improvements and prepare construction plan drawings based on that design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer.
  • Organizing and scheduling work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines.
  • Coordination with engineers and other design team members.
  • Plotting and assembling construction plans, exhibits, specifications, etc.
  • Assist in the oversight of CAD systems & standards.

Compensation/Benefits:

Compensation includes competitive base salary, supplemental pay for additional hours worked, and year-end performance-based bonus opportunities.
