We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to fill an immediate opening in Lorain, OH. This position can be remote.

Semco Carbon is an ISO9001:2015 Company specializing in custom graphite and carbon precision machined components.

The CAD/CAM Programmer will create drawings and CNC programs using MasterCam and Solidworks and be able to determine the manufacturing process of a new product from the fixture stage to the finished product.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Generate accurate CAD drawings of parts using supplied print or sketch.

· Generate CNC Programs and tool paths using Mastercam.

· Perform online and offline programming.

· Prove-out new programs at machine.

· Edit programs for internal process improvements and customer design changes.

· Create and edit tool sheets and set-up documents.

· Assist in quoting and estimating relating to routing steps.

· Maintain files and programs per ISO9100 software control and industry standards.

· Correspond with customers to ensure drawings have proper tolerance and dimension.

· Generate custom fixture drawings and programs to manufacture fixtures in house.

· Assist machinists when necessary.

· Liaison between the sales team, production, and quality in support of machined parts.

· Work with vendors to identify work holding solutions and systems to drive efficiency.

Required Education, Experience, and Skill

· High school diploma or GED.

· Minimum 5 years MasterCam programming experience.

· Minimum 5 years Solidworks experience.

· Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience.

· Demonstrated proficiency with GD&T

· Excellent print reading skills.

· High level of proficiency using Microsoft Words, Excel, and Outlook.

· Effectively communicate with other team members, customers, and supplier.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
