C++ Software Engineer
Seeking a Software Engineer to join a world-renowned Department of Defense research and development center. The Software Engineer will join a team that supports the Department of Defense (DoD) by designing, implementing, and testing real-time software for space applications.
Skills Required for the C++ Software Engineer will include the following:
- Software development in C or C++
- Scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
- Linux or Windows programming with socket servers/clients, serial/UARTs, and other common communications protocols
- Some embedded software experience
- Integration and testing
- The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Skills Preferred for the C++ Software Engineer will include the following:
- Real-time software development in C or C++
- Software systems for space applications
- Agile methods
- Git, Ticketing/Issue tracking systems such as Jira, Continuous integration systems such as Bamboo
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, logic analyzers, and frequency counters for testing the software in a hardware environment.
Education Required: Bachelors Degree or Higher
Work location:
This position is predominantly onsite. The person should expect to work 4 days onsite regularly with one possible day remote. However, the nature of the work will ebb and flow in which someone may need to be onsite 100% of the time for a period and then can go back to working some remote. The person must be ok with being 100% onsite when the nature of the work requires it.
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
