Buyer

Emhart Glass is searching for a Buyer to strengthen our innovative position in the glass container industry by overseeing the procurement of machine parts to meet demand and inventory objectives. Buyers also evaluate ERP data and release/maintain purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of parts. The successful candidate’s responsibilities and tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Planning and executing requisitions and purchase orders for assigned suppliers
• Following up on order acknowledgements, expedite, de-expedite, cancellations, stocking levels, etc. as required.
• Planning and scheduling the flow of goods to achieve outstanding customer service and on-time delivery in a cost effective manner.
• Identifying and maintaining proper planning criteria in ERP system.
• Analyzing and reporting supplier performance against schedule requirements.
• Handling deviations – report, analyze, corrective action and follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in a business related discipline, preferably operations or supply chain management and a minimum of 2 years of relevant related experience. This position is based in the Horseheads, NY office and includes occasional travel to other offices for training and team collaboration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
