Position Outline:

The Business Operations Analyst position is a new position to CountryMax Stores. With over 70 million in total sales and 500 employees in 2021, we’re well into an advanced stage of requiring a high-level business analyst that can parse through a wide range of data ranging from inventory values to utility costs to operations efficiencies and beyond. While experience level may range greatly for potential candidates, applicants should be able to demonstrate significant past experience that directly or indirectly qualifies the applicant for the position requirements.

Specific position responsibilities include:

• Business Operations Analyst (BOA) position is responsible for researching, identifying, and delivering data analysis for CountryMax business operations to senior CountryMax personnel
• Operations analysis includes all aspects of business practices at CountryMax- financial, inventory, data management, information technology, and beyond. The position is varied and fluid from project to project while retaining certain recurring reporting responsibilities
• Specific projects will vary in scope from major to minor. Position will be responsible for both directed and self-directed projects as needed by operation
• BOA will be responsible for establishing and implementing effective format for findings reporting that limits unnecessary information but highlights key factors with appropriate depth needed to make decisions within CountryMax
• Depending on experience in the BOA field, position may or may not be required to include recommendations and/or propose changes based off findings
• Effective communication and ability to research and find relevant data while working within structure of CountryMax is essential due to the sensitive nature of business analysis when evaluating personnel/tasks
• Examples of potential early projects/responsibilities- o Analysis of inventory to sales ratios by season at macro and micro level. From total inventory to inventory levels in specific departments, classes, and fine lines o Analysis of vendor partnerships as they relate to fill rates and beneficial partnership metrics such as payment terms, discounts available, and credit timeliness o Identification of high/low performing areas of operations, delivering details to present apparent reason(s) why

o Improve current store profitability reporting taking into account relevant financial information and delivering at regular interval o Identifying differences/discrepancies by location in multiple areas- including but not limited to sales, shrinkage, reporting, merchandising metrics

Position Requirements:

This position will be based out of main offices in Victor, NY – so a professional, courteous and efficient person is a must. All standard qualifications apply (proficient in Microsoft Office, general business proficiencies, etc.). Experience is required in some form of purchasing or analytics position in a retail or manufacturing capacity. Candidate must be flexible and understand the unique work requirements of a new position in the organization. Candidate will need to demonstrate both writing and speaking abilities during interview process. An organized, thorough, and high-output work ethic is a must for this position.
