Reporting to the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer will drive change through the development of analytics and data insight capabilities within Vital Farms. This position will primarily be responsible for delivering against analytics roadmaps, owning the full end-to-end analytics process, and delivering reports and dashboards for internal customers. This role will function as a data/analytics SME to stakeholders and act as the analytical go-to for insights to support data-driven decisions and increase efficiency. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self-directed, and have a keen ability to identify the actionable insights hidden within complex data.

What You'll Do
- Own all parts of the analytics pipeline: designing, developing, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data findings
- Become an analytics SME for high value and high impact projects to represent BI interests
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate data collection and improve business processes
- Create dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators and effectively communicate trends
- Analyze data using statistics and other methodologies to solve business problems
- Effectively scope, size, and plan the development of analytical solutions and set expectations accordingly
- Work with finance and business leaders to understand and prioritize opportunities where data and analytical insights can provide significant business value
- Works with business users to gather reporting requirements. Determines and analyzes commonly used reporting queries. Keeps customer informed about business intelligence problems and resolutions.
- Assists business users with the analysis, design, development and testing of business intelligence reporting applications.
- Assists in the coaching and training of business users in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
- Participate in researching and implementing new BI tools and technologies that provide better visualization and collaboration features with regards to reporting
- Host training sessions for newly developed reports/dashboards
- Keeps abreast of IT industry best practices and leverages newer technologies that support self-service BI and applies that knowledge to provide innovative business solutions
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience with Power BI, including Microsoft Dynamics ERP
- Expert user of SQL for data analysis required
- Experience with Informatica and other ETL tools required. Proven experience building data warehouses for database modeling and ETL design.
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience preferred
- Experience working with ERP and CRM data
- Experience in Python and/or R and JSON preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional skills
- Any experience integrating BI technologies with SharePoint is a strong plus
- Any experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX development a plus
