Job Schedule
This is a Full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The employee will set their own schedule according to scheduled appointments and projects. Working hours will include before and after business, weekend and/or holiday hours. Flexibility in availability is required. Premium pay is provided for all Saturday hours worked.
Job Location and Travel:
This is a hybrid position. Duties will be performed in office, at home, and in the field. For example:
About 80% in the field meeting with current and prospective member groups.
Some in-office and at-home work will be required (about 20%). The location of in-office work will vary. Flexibility in traveling to all our branches (located in Towson and Perry Hall) is required.
Extensive travel within Baltimore County is required. This job requires the ability and means to travel daily to appointments, meetings, and to conduct other business within all areas of Baltimore County. Proof of drivers license and auto insurance coverage on the vehicle used must be provided following a conditional offer of employment. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Job Duties:
This position is best suited for an outgoing, confident, and persuasive individual who is persistent in his or her efforts to achieve goals. In this role, you will:
Develop and execute plans for acquiring new membership groups by frequently contacting and visiting these groups and promoting the benefits of Credit Union membership and its products.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing membership groups by contacting them frequently using a variety of methods including telephone, email, direct mail, and in-person visits.
Increase awareness of the Credit Union within local communities by participating in business, community, and charitable organization activities.
Identify, recommend, and coordinate sponsorship opportunities with community and membership groups.
Conduct off-site presentations and attend meetings, events, and activities sponsored by existing and prospective membership groups.
Determine the effectiveness of business development activities by tracking efforts and analyzing outcomes. Prepare reports summarizing all activities and documenting this analysis.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services and cross-sell products and services when applicable.
What You Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or similar field is preferred.
Experience with planning and executing marketing campaigns using email, mail, and in-person or virtual presentations is preferred.
Strong sales skills, including cold-calling, networking, and lead management
Ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences
Knowledge of the features and benefits of products and services typically offered by financial institutions.
Knowledge of marketing techniques, promotional strategies, and public relations.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing membership groups
Highly effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet applications, e-mail, social media, and various windows-based software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
Ability to organize work and manage time effectively
Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Possession of a current, valid non-commercial (Class C) drivers license
Reliable transportation (must provide own transportation)
Possession of auto insurance that meets minimum requirements in the state of MD
