Business Development Manager Job at Steelcase
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to focus on driving new business for the New York City market and is directly responsible for identifying and developing strategic client relationships with a focus on selling space solutions. You will lead all aspects of business development initiatives within and outside of existing Steelcase accounts and will stay closely aligned with our channel partners to maximize sales opportunities.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Build and maintain a strong network of influencers from the Real Estate, General Contractor and/or Architect and Design communities.
- Proactively develop client relationships and create meaningful engagements to win Steelcase business.
- Develop and implement opportunity strategies.
- Rally and lead the appropriate Steelcase and dealer team according to the client and project needs.
- Act as primary Steelcase contact for major Steelcase regional accounts
- May also interact with clients to grow and gain more business in existing dealer-led and Steelcase global accounts.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leaders on business strategy and occasional special projects
- Maintain business activity through Salesforce CRM.

Required Skills and Competencies
Must have experience in a consultative B2B, solution-based sales or closely related role. The ideal candidate is well-networked with business decision makers and influencers in the defined region and understands how to partner with channel to optimize sales activity. Bachelors or Master Degree in Business preferred.

In compliance with New York City’s Human Rights Law, the annual base salary range for this position is 78,200.00 - 104,300.00 - 130,400.00.
