POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development, writing and editing of proposals in response to Government solicitations. This is accomplished through the development of the proposal narrative, past performance qualifications, resumes, technical and management volumes as well as other documentation needed for a compliant proposal. This position works with Management and SMEs to analyze solicitations, determine proposal requirements and responses to ensure all requirements are addressed. Develops new business opportunities that are in the best interest of company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the development, writing and editing of proposals in response to Government solicitations.
- Management of the proposal narrative, past performance qualifications, resumes, technical and management volumes as well as other documentation needed for a compliant proposal.
- Thorough knowledge of the various FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Work with Management and SMEs to analyze solicitations, determine proposal requirements and responses to ensure all requirements are addressed.
- Establish/Maintain proposal schedules, indicating areas where further support is needed, preparing documentation for formal reviews, and responding to directions.
- Adhere to and manage proposal development schedules.
- Contribute to corporate proposal development standard operating procedures by analyzing and evaluating proposal best practices.
- Participate in developing and generating strategies, themes, and discriminators for responses.
- Participate or leads in content review sessions.
- Review and edit final text for grammar, tone, style, clarity and consistency.
- Participates or leads the process in advancing drafts throughout the writing process.
- Incorporates appropriate comments in collaboration with lead(s), SMEs, and proposal management.
- Provides support to the final proposal production as required.
- May write, review, and/or edit other corporate documents as requested.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: English or other related Field of Study.
APMP Certificate preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum three (3) years' experience writing and editing DoD Federal Government proposals.
- Experience writing reports, briefs, and similar content.
- Experience with the Federal Government's acquisition process.
- Two (2) years' experience working with GSA E-Buy is desirable.
- Experience working with BetaSam.gov (formerly FEDBIZOP) is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Excel.
- Experience using GovWin, Beta Sam, and other Government Information Web Sites.
OTHER
- May require travel to DOD and other Government sites.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Security Clearance or ability to get one.
This position will have the ability to tele-work with the requirement to physically report to the Corporate Offices once a quarter as required.
