The Salesforce Business Technology department is looking for a Business Analyst I to join our team. Our department is a liaison between IT and Health Plan Business focusing on strategic business initiatives built on Group CRM platform. Project work and platform maintenance are our primary responsibilities. The Business Analyst I will support project work, Salesforce reports and data analytics, User Acceptance testing and support internal/external customers.

This role is ideal for someone with business analyst and project work experience. Below are our departmental preferences:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel or any other reporting tool
  • Experience working with end users
  • Prior experience developing presentations using PowerPoint
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interest in Salesforce and problem-solving

Serve as a liaison between the business areas and the IT organization to provide technical solutions required for the achievement of business goals. Collect, analyze, develop, document, and communicate business requirements. Support one or more low to moderately complex business processes.

  • Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
  • Contribute to the business short-and long-term planning sessions and provides direction to ensure understanding of business goals and direction. Provide input from a business and IT perspective.
  • Assist in assessing client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities.
  • Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions.
  • Document current business processes and models.
  • Provide assistance in business case development (i.e., research, data collection), as needed. Develop user test cases and system integration testing and validate test results during testing. Investigate, resolve and escalate problems. Procure technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
  • Keep customers informed of problems, issues, and status. Analyze performance metrics to eure customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • One (1) year of relevant technical or business work experience required.

  • Basic knowledge of business operations and systems requirement processes.
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, systems skills.
  • Display innovation in identifying, proposing, and overseeing the execution of business solutions.
  • Written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, or within a team environment.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
