Overview
The Business Analystis a key member of the brands division, responsible for using data to help drive decisions for both production and distribution strategies. The analyst will create the framework, including KPI dashboards, and conduct the data analysis for, but not limited to; B2B, DTC, distributor network, and international exports within the Brands division. They will support Nester Hosiery’s wholesale brands; Farm to Feet and Ballston, subject to change pending acquisition or launch of new brands within the division. Success in this position will be measured by helping meet the aggregate contribution forecast target goals for the operating year, with an emphasis on inventory management and turn. This is a hybrid and/or remote position.
The Business Analyst will report to the General Manager of the brands division but will also support other senior managers as required, working with other analysts across the company.
Role and Responsibilities
Essential job duties will Include:
- Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand analytics needs within merchandising, sales, and production.
- Design, build, and manage reporting, dashboards, and other self-service tools that stakeholders can rely on in their day-to-day decision making.
- Collaborate with team members and other analytics teams to avoid duplicative effort and help develop standard methods and tools for the entire org.
- Use advanced data visualization techniques to communicate solutions to business stakeholders.
- Leverage data and analytics to create scale and uncover new ways of thinking about assortments within our B2B and DTC businesses.
- Create brand and category reports for key stakeholders to help drive assortment decisions for future seasons as well as in season inventory management.
- Develop new processes and ways of working as part of an evolving operating model and dynamic competitive landscape.
- Analyze customer POS Data as available to evaluate forecast accuracy.
· Hold monthly forecast analysis meetings to evaluate current demand forecast and make changes as needed.
· Review available irregular and prior season inventory availability, and present sales opportunities.
· Identify rework possibilities to hit customer orders and reduce obsolete inventory.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
· Participate in key account planning meetings to develop data driven growth decisions
· Support team with various “as needed” issue analysis and other supplementary data support.
· Facilitate SMU (special make) runs to reduce aging inventory.
· Extensive use of internal and external systems: SockInfo8, Excel, Klaviyo, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Google Analytics and various other data collections.
