Overview:
The Business Analyst (BA) role serves as a key intersection between various information technology solutions, the providers of these solutions, and their users within Forefront Dermatology. Business Analysts are responsible for mapping workflows, identifying pains, opportunities to gain efficiency, and innovating to thoughtfully solve while ensuring solutions may be measured for efficacy, adoption, and success whenever possible. The BA collaboratively prioritizes and advocates effectively to solve the most meaningful problems in the most measurable way.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and leverage extensive expertise in tasks, workflows, and supporting systems within a domain.
2. Represent the voice of the user and clearly represent their needs and objectives in the form of problems to solve, opportunities, and pain points.
3. Identify, measure, and report on key success metrics.
4. Own the adoption and utilization of technology solutions leveraged within domain, ensuring obstacles and risks are identified and thoughtfully mitigated or accepted.
5. Intimate understanding of most important business objectives/jobs to be done within their domain, and keeps this at the forefront of decisions.
6. Advanced technical skills.
7. Familiar with and advocate for multi-disciplinary best practices, including cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory, and other compliance areas.
8. Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
9. Triages and represents issues and opportunities back to existing vendors.
10. Leads new initiative assessment campaigns, and curates opportunity roadmap for domain.
11. Challenge status quo constructively in search of opportunities to automate, optimize, and measure.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or in lieu of degree, equivalent education, training and work-related experience
2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in business analyst, functional analyst, or product management roles
3. Demonstrated leadership experience including serving as an example to others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude, and in response to organizational change
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Must be detail oriented, curious, and able to document both workflow and technical needs effectively.
2. Excellent communication skills including creating reports and presentations and effective delivery to peers, stakeholders, and leadership.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required, as are workflow mapping and SDLC tools.
4. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.
5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
6. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
