Building Solution Specialist Job at Atlantic Plywood Corporation
Building Solution Specialist is responsible for developing new business and account management of existing business within their territory. BSS secures specifications / conversions through strategically targeted architecture/design firms and general contractors, and to increase our company’s specifications and leads for end users.
Responsibilities:
· Become the resource that provides solutions for products and applications for accounts by educating and training on product capabilities to customers staff and/or trades.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key industry contacts including all demand creation downstream customers.
· Increase business volume with all accounts in the territory to include some national accounts.
· Review CRM (Salesforce) database to extract relevant detail for current and upcoming projects.
· Use the CRM (Salesforce preferred) software to effectively managing opportunity pipeline, log activities, keep all records up to date and following the established processes and guidelines.
· Provides excellent sales support to both internal and external customers and maintains accurate, through records of sales activities within CRM system.
· Research and identify relevant projects, key players, and decision makers with the goal of increasing the frequency of specifications and generating leads by their customer base.
· Provide on-going expertise and education to account base through regular calls, visits and active participation in key industry organizations.
· Schedule, attend and conduct continuing education seminars for all product lines.
· Ensures all merchandising and promotions are implemented including new product introductions and launches.
· Complete directives based on management instructions and achieved measurable goals.
· Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Outside Sales Managers for product sales coordination.
· Conduct site inspections (as needed) to observe installations, provide documentation and communicate to appropriate people, maintain appropriate documents in Drobox/SFDC, and complete required reporting as required by customer agreement
Requirements:
· Strong MS Office skills, social media and CRM experience. (Salesforce preferred)
· Must travel throughout the assigned territory daily as designated by Manager.
· Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage feedback and expectations effectively.
· Ability to develop proficiency on multiple products and stay current on trends.
· Result and action oriented, strong closing skills
· Proven track record of being customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
· Outgoing, creative, energetic and flexible personality.
· Superior organizational and follow-up skills.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 5 + Years of experience in sales or design industry required
Systems: Microsoft Suites and Salesforce
Travel Requirements: Travel to customers, tradeshows, associations
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds to deliver samples
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
