Building Maintenance Associate

Purpose:
With the Building Maintenance Manager, the Building Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring that all buildings across the company are maintained in good structural and operating order.

Responsibilities:
· As work schedule allows, identifies problems and necessary maintenance.
· Performs weekly maintenance tasks as scheduled.
· Performs daily cleaning and maintenance activities as scheduled/required.
· Ensures that repair and maintenance tasks are completed on time.
· Maintains all maintenance/janitorial inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage.
· Complies with all health and safety regulations and practices at all company facilities.
· With the Building Maintenance Foreman, conducts preventive maintenance work.
· Conduct follow-ups as requested on maintenance and repair work.
· Conducts safety observations and inspections as requested.
· Follows strategies to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner.
· Ensure full clean-up of area upon task completion.
Requirements:
· General skills in multiple fields and general mechanical knowledge.
· Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
· Ability to complete tasks without close supervision.
· Can prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Stay flexible in the face of competing maintenance and repair demands.
· Works to develop communication and interpersonal skills.
· Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
· Some experience with email, MS Office and related communication tools.
· Not afraid to make decisions in the moment in the face of competing demands on time.
