We are currently sourcing for an BrandTech Technician for our Stafford, TX location.
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual that wants to make an impact and be part of a growing and dynamic organization. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills and be willing to learn and grow their knowledge base.
We have developed unique technology for stud welding anchors and other equipment that is utilized in Industrial Markets. Technicians will support these product lines in the shop and in the field where they are being utilized. This role requires knowledge of the products, how they operate, how they are constructed, operating parameters and the limitations of the equipment.
This role will have two primary aspects, and both are equally important. These are briefly described below, but additional tasks may be required.
1. Field Service Technician (travel to customer locations to perform work)
a. Go to the field to utilize and/or supervise the use of BrandTech Precision Welding equipment
b. Travel to customer locations in the US, Canada and South America
c. Work in refineries, chemical plants, fabrication shops, cement plants and other industrial facilities
d. Troubleshoot issues in the field
e. Coordinate with HQ and on site teams to ensure successful completion of jobs
f. Complete daily job reports
2. Manufacturing and Repair Equipment (in our Stafford, TX facility)
a. Build/Assemble new equipment
b. Test equipment to ensure it meets specifications
c. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment that comes off jobs
d. Repair equipment as required
e. Receive and stock materials
f. Pick, pack and ship products
Duties and Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as are required by the project.
Responsibilities:
· Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
· Stud welding anchors.
· Troubleshooting
· Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
· Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
· Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.
· Sourcing replacement parts.
· Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
· Fabricating any components required.
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day.
· Climbing required.
· Frequent stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required.
· May be required to lift and pull up to 50 pounds and must be physically capable of performing manual tasks without restriction.
· Ability to work at heights.
· Ability to work in confined spaces.
· Occasional computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required.
· Required to drive/travel to project and client sites.
Requirements:
· High school diploma. Associates or four-year degree preferred.
· Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport within 60 days of employment.
· Experience as a technician preferred.
· Ability to read drawings.
· CAD knowledge is helpful.
· A driver's license (must be 21 yrs or older to drive a company vehicle)
· Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
· Proficiency in MS Office
· Must be available as needed to work at the assigned job site and may include weekends and holidays.
This position involves international travel and could be away 4-6 weeks at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
