POSITION SUMMARY: **
The Bank Office Manager helps direct work and operations in one of our six office locations. This position develops staff, fostering a positive environment, ensures customer satisfaction, and manages proper office operations. As a Retail Banker, this role will develop consumer lending relationships and will service the retail banking needs of prospective and existing customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Management Responsibilities

  • Represents Stillman Bank within the communities we serve in a professional manner through active participation in community organizations, seeking leadership roles where appropriate.
  • Serves on various internal committees within the bank and performs duties at regular meetings as assigned.
  • Supports employees by providing training, coaching, development and motivation.
  • Addresses customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Assists with all operational aspects of running the office including facility maintenance, human resources, and overall office administration
  • Participates in staff rotations for opening, closing, and Saturday operational coverage.
  • Provides support to employees for transaction overrides, dual control, and other matters needing assistance.

Retail Banker Responsibilities

  • Maintains a current working knowledge and follows all applicable regulatory lending and deposit guidelines and bank lending and deposit policies, procedures and practices.
  • Opens and closes consumer deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes.
  • Analyzes and identifies financial needs of retail customers and provides information and guidance on available deposit products and services.
  • Assists consumers with inquiries and resolves problems and issues regarding all products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Coordinates the consumer loan application process, including application preparation, credit investigations, employment verifications, other required verifications and any other information or documentation deemed necessary to evaluate viability of the loan.
  • Analyzes consumer loan applicant eligibility for loan consideration as well as loan viability and makes a recommendation to management concerning its approval.
  • Informs consumer loan applicants of the acceptance or denial of their application.
  • Provides reports and data as required supporting sales and marketing activities.
  • Performs other duties, functions and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three or more years of previous banking experience in lending, customer service and/or teller operations. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous leadership experience is required, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain federal licensing and certification requirements (NMLS).
  • Friendly, professional and accommodating demeanor, with a strong enthusiasm for customer service and problem resolution.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to other specialized software applications.
  • Ability to work productively and independently with minimal supervisory overview.
  • Ability to produce work of high quality and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to recognize issues of significance and prioritize assignments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typical office environment. Requires ability to operate numerous types of office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, copiers and calculators. Primarily a sedentary position but requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching and stooping. Requires the ability to frequently view and read computer screens and paper documents.
