Branch Manager Job at Fireside Hearth & Home

In this role, you’ll develop strategic plans that guide the successful operations of one of our branch locations throughout the United States.
Your Role as a Branch Manager
Branch Managers work within our business model to plan, monitor and improve on all parts of our operations, from personnel to production. You’ll work closely with our various support departments, like suppliers and product engineering, to build strategies for success. You’ll oversee the Division Field Operations Supervisor and Service Member’s daily responsibilities while providing coaching and counseling to team members within your branch.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Monitor working capital [inventory, A/R], perform quarterly inventory audits, and resolve open Customer A/R issues caused by incomplete or unsatisfactory quality issues
- Achieve Spoke financial and strategic goals by managing labor cost, capacity planning and overall G&A expenses.
- Review and coordinate installation and service schedules to optimize productivity and customer service levels.
- Review product ordering with Purchasing for all scheduled jobs and communicates extended lead times.
- Provide field support to DFOS in the Pre-View & Post-View process and field support to the Service Technicians.
- Receive vendor deliveries into Commerce System, verifies inventory delivered to packing slips, run inventory allocation, prints backorder report, adjust any issues. Branch Managers have a versatile skillset that allows them to work across departments to identify opportunities for improvement and produce positive results. Our work is highly process-oriented and requires a significant degree of organization, attention to detail and customer service. Branch Managers take on this challenge with a unique combination of technical knowledge and industry experience.
The Skills You Need to have
- 5+ years related experience in the hearth and/or construction industry (preferred but not required)
- Leadership experience
- P&L experience
- Computer literacy and knowledge of standard programs
- Knowledge of hearth products, including limitations, installation requirements, FHH policies and local building codes
